Job Description:
A company is looking for an Underwriting Counsel to manage legal
risk and provide guidance on title searches and insurance in real
estate transactions.
Key Responsibilities
Review and evaluate title searches and insurance risk factors,
communicating underwriting requirements to stakeholders
Evaluate risk and exposures to determine business acceptability,
including determining premiums and terms
Lead projects and provide guidance to colleagues while solving
complex problems within established guidelines
Required Qualifications
Juris Doctor (JD) degree, currently licensed to practice in a
state
2-4 years of related work experience
Working knowledge of business practices and key business
drivers
Ability to analyze data related to financial conditions and past
claim experiences
Experience in explaining complex information clearly and
effectively
