We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our dynamic team. This role is integral to the smooth operation of our manufacturing operations, ensuring our facilities are always running at optimal conditions. You will be working with a wide variety of systems including boilers, chillers, HVAC, heating, refrigeration, and pumps. This is a permanent position, offering a great opportunity to utilize and further develop your technical skills in a progressive scientific environment.Responsibilities:As a Facilities Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for:1. Conducting routine inspections of premises and equipment, ensuring they meet health and safety standards.2. Performing preventative maintenance tasks on mechanical systems such as HVAC, boilers, chillers, pumps, and refrigeration units.3. Troubleshooting and repairing malfunctions in mechanical or electrical systems (e.g., HVAC, boilers, chillers, etc.)4. Overseeing contractors when professional repairs are necessary.5. Diagnosing mechanical issues and correcting them.6. Repairing machines, equipment, or structures as necessary.7. Ensuring that all maintenance operations are in compliance with organizational policies and safety guidelines.8. Coordinating with other departments to ensure optimal functioning of all systems in the facility.9. Keeping maintenance logs and reporting on daily activities.Qualifications:The ideal candidate for the Facilities Maintenance Technician role should have:1. A minimum of 3+ years of experience in facilities maintenance or a similar role.2. Proven experience with boilers, chillers, HVAC, heating, refrigeration, and pumps.3. Excellent understanding of mechanical systems, with an ability to troubleshoot and provide quick solutions.4. Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods.5. Working knowledge of tools, common appliances, and devices.6. Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills.7. Good physical condition and strength with the ability to work in awkward spaces.8. Diploma from a trade school or successful completion of an apprenticeship is preferred.9. Good verbal and written communication skills.10.
