Job Description:
Position Summary
The Logistics Engineer is responsible for providing the management
team with data reports, new business and renewal pricing, marketing
principles, and ad hoc business support requests.
Job Responsibilities
--- Manage the response to customer inquiries in Request for
Information (RFI) or Request for Quote or Pricing (RFQ/RFP)
proposals
--- Develop and implement pricing strategies for the company's
products or services.
--- Perform analysis of data obtained from customers to create
pricing pro forma, floor plans and value stream maps
--- Develops pricing strategies, identify target markets and track
market trends
--- Manage pro forma projects to meet customer deadlines and
overall business development sales objectives
--- Establish pricing for new, and existing customer, and provide
rate recommendations to top management
--- Coordinate and facilitate meetings with cross functional teams
(Operations, IT, customer service and Safety) to review value
stream map and pricing pro forma
--- Create rate proposals for customers and document pricing
assumptions,
--- Review new accounts after 60 - 90 days, and suggest changes to
contracted rates based on changes to original assumptions.
--- Coordinate with the credit department to facilitate credit
checks on potential and existing customers; monitor the credit
history of existing customers
--- Work with General Counsel on the drafting and delivery of final
contracts to management and customers
--- Create floor plans
--- Create process flows
--- Communicate new customer acquisitions to various
departments
--- Perform time studies, confirm, and document productivity
assumptions used in the analysis of business models for internal
and external customers
--- Perform other tasks and ad hoc requests that may be
assigned
--- Customer facing tasks (present solutions and explain
models)
--- Re-engineering of solutions to support operations and maximize
company profit
--- Collaborate directly with various internal and external
stakeholders to conduct end to end process assessments
--- Analyze processes to identify re-engineering opportunities
which will create efficiencies and/or enhance controls
--- Identify opportunities to leverage intelligent automation
solutions to increase process efficiency and reduce risk
--- Effectively plan and coordinate implementing process changes
enabling teams to realize efficiencies or control enhancements
--- Create highly effective presentation materials to communicate
status updates to executive management
Minimum Required Qualifications
--- Bachelor's degree in related field is required.
--- Three to five years warehouse/logistics pricing experience
--- Experience managing RFI/RFP responses
--- Experience engaging directly with customers on various project
assignments
--- Strong verbal and written communication skills
--- Strong analytical and project management skills
--- Highly motivated and able to complete tasks with limited
management supervision.
Essential Job Functions
--- To perform this job successfully, an individual must have
proficient knowledge Microsoft Office products including Office,
Outlook, and Excel.

Travel
--- Ability to drive long distances and/or travel overnight as
required.
