has an exciting opportunity for full-time E&S Underwriters -
Casualty roles based in Stockton, CA, Scottsdale, AZ, and
Naperville, IL.Successful candidates will be able to select, price
and set appropriate terms/conditions for brokerage commercial
casualty risks. Candidates will be responsible for developing and
maintaining relationships with brokers and facultative reinsurance
underwriters, as well as sharing their industry knowledge and
expertise with the other underwriters and support staff on the
team.This is a fast-paced unit, requiring the underwriters to work
quickly and stay organized. Use of analytical methods in
underwriting is essential to success in this position. Gathering
data from disparate sources, assembling information, and analyzing
the complete picture of each risk, and documenting files thoroughly
are required.Your responsibilities include, but are not limited
to:Developing assigned brokers and expanding brokerage
relationshipsEnhancing production sources and identifying
profitable market opportunitiesAnalyzing submissions to evaluate
risk based on individual characteristics and exposureAdhering to
reinsurance treaties and underwriting guidelinesPre-qualifying
submissions and leveraging in-house and external information
sources for thorough risk assessmentUtilizing creativity and
underwriting expertise to write and retain risks within company
guidelinesDocumenting operations, loss history, pricing rationale,
and risk pros & cons comprehensively in the underwriting
summaryCommunicating persuasively with brokers regarding
underwriting decisions, including cancellations, declinations, and
coverage strategiesCollaborating effectively with other business
units within the company and ensuring compliance with all practices
and policiesPromoting the company's products and services through
public speaking at insurance-related events and maintaining a
strong network within the industryAbility to travel nationwide to
visit brokers, attend insurance conferences and educational

must have a Bachelors degree, with 4+ years of related experience,
ideally in primary casualty or excess casualty brokerage.The
