Job Description:
Mach is a defense manufacturing company that builds munitions to

manufactures, and sells cutting-edge weapons to the Department of
Defense.Role Summary:As a member of the engineering team, you will
take a lead role in the development of next-generation defense
technologies, including but not limited to unmanned aerial vehicles
(UAVs), missiles, and advanced weapon systems. You'll regularly
interact with senior leadership to influence fundamental operation
of our platforms while collaborating with electrical, software,
mechanical, and manufacturing teams to steer this project from
initial conception to manufacturing.Key Responsibilities:
- Design of advanced software defined radios in support of next
generation products including drones.
- Contribute to development of software and testing.
- Provide wireless communication expertise to set specifications
and debug problems.
- Perform design validation testing of prototype and production
designs.
- Contribute to various aspects of the integration of the radios
into aircraft and other systems.Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the development of radio
systems.
- Experience with detailed test plans, requirements traceability
and system verifications.
- Experience with embedded devices and Software Defined
Radios.
- Familiar with wireless communication standards (Bluetooth,
3G/4G/5G, Wi-Fi, SINCGARS, MUOS, etc.).
- Solid understanding of PHY and MAC layers of modern OFDM-based
wireless systems.
- Strong foundation in estimation / detection techniques, random
processes and probability theory.
- Working knowledge of wireless systems link budgets and wireless
channel models.
- Experience with multi-antenna spatial processing
techniques.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Preferred
Qualifications:
- Master's degree or PhD in electrical engineering with some
research/thesis work on wireless communication systems.
- Experience with LTE, 5G NR, or WiMax PHY protocols is highly
desired.
- Ability to work in a fast paced, autonomously driven, and
demanding start-up atmosphere.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.Ideal
