Job Description:

Coverage Needed Start Date: 02/02/2026 End Date: 08/01/2026 Schedule: 40 hours per week, 8 hours per day, 5 days per week Clinical Details Provide overall direction and leadership for mental health services Participate in civil commitment proceedings Assess and provide DSM diagnosis Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications Supervise and mentor facility-based mental health staff Evaluate and recommend methods for improving operational efficiency Accept on-call status Provide direct casework services and counseling Assist in developing treatment and therapeutic programs Prepare progress reports and discharge plans Serve as mental health staff liaison Maintain confidentiality of inmates/residents and their files Coordinate professional services provided by contract personnel Attend scheduled staff meetings and group activities Utilize established policies and procedures Requirements Graduate from an accredited college or university with an advanced degree in psychology or related clinical area Appropriate certification or license Five years of clinical experience, including two years in a comparable position Valid driver's license Must be at least board eligible to qualify for privileges US Citizenship required for ICE clearance BLS that meets compliance requirements Board eligibility documentation
