Job Description Part-Time Optometrist Montebello Optometry Eye Clinic & Dry Eye Center (A private specialty clinic — not your typical optometry practice) Are you a compassionate, patient-focused optometrist looking for a position that goes beyond routine exams? Montebello Optometry Eye Clinic & Dry Eye Center — a well-established, specialty-driven practice led by Dr. MariaCristina Zamora for over a decade — is seeking a Part-Time OD who is enthusiastic, eager to learn, and committed to delivering exceptional patient care. You will begin by performing routine and comprehensive eye exams , with the opportunity to grow into specialty areas such as dry eye disease, scleral lenses, myopia management, and ocular aesthetics as your training progresses. PRIME LOCATION Located in Montebello, CA , just 15 minutes from Downtown Los Angeles , making it an ideal role for ODs across LA County seeking a convenient and central practice environment. WHAT MAKES OUR CLINIC UNIQUE We are a specialty-focused eye clinic equipped with advanced diagnostic and treatment technologies, including: OptiLight IPL Radiofrequency (RF) LLLT BlephEx & ZEST Amniograft membranes Maskin Probing Orthokeratology (Ortho-K) Scleral lenses for keratoconus Ocular aesthetics & VISIA skin analysis Our trained techs and opticians manage pre-testing, imaging, patient preparation, and contact lens training — allowing you to focus entirely on clinical care . WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR ? Enthusiastic and eager to grow in specialty care ? Comfortable with routine & medical exams ? Patient-centered, empathetic, and confident communicator ? Spanish-speaking strongly preferred ? Experience is a plus (NOT required): Advanced dry eye procedures Scleral lenses Ortho-K Eyefinity EHR/EPM and/or medical coding ?? New graduates welcome — specialty training is provided. COMPENSATION & INCENTIVES We offer a highly competitive package for Southern California: Daily Rate: $500 – $600 per day (depending on experience and skill set) Incentive Bonus: Earn additional compensation based on: Specialty evaluation referrals Overall daily revenue participation (Designed to reward quality patient education, specialty referrals, and strong clinical performance—without pressure to see more patients.) Additional Benefits: Paid Time Off (PTO) Hands-on specialty training (dry eye, aesthetics, scleral lenses, myopia management) Long-standing private practice with excellent reputation Supportive, family-like environment RESPONSIBILITIES Perform routine & comprehensive eye examinations Diagnose and manage ocular conditions, including dry eye, diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma, etc Educate patients on findings, specific details about glasses prescribed, follow-up care, and specialty recommendations Maintain accurate documentation in Eyefinity EHR Collaborate with techs and opticians to ensure smooth clinic flow Collaborate on educational content creation for social media Uphold clinical protocols and state regulatory standards DEA certified to be able to prescribe medications SCHEDULE Part-time — preferably Wednesdays and Fridays .
