radiologists. We can’t wait to meet you! As a Nuclear Medicine
PET/CT Technologist at SimonMed, you will be performing diagnostic
Nuclear Medicine, CT, and PET/CT exams. You will be trained on the
latest PET/CT procedures including but not limited to; Axumin,
NETSPOT, Amyloid and Oncology Imaging. You will also be trained on
the latest CT technology, including Dual Energy and iterative
reconstruction. SimonMed is committed to becoming the Nation’s
leading provider for low dose CT. You will gain experience in a
variety of specialized exams including but not limited to; Coronary
CTAs, Dual Energy Metal Suppression, and Kidney stone
quantification. NOTE: This is for a new nearby site. ESSENTIAL
FUNCTIONS: Establishes and maintains a good rapport and
professional relationship with fellow employees, other departments,
and facility staff. Works under general supervision. Obtains
patient history, explains standard procedures, and addresses
patient concerns. Performs a variety of PET/CT procedures by
following and verifying referring provider’s orders to provide
images, data analysis and patient information for diagnostic
interpretation or therapeutic procedures. Performs Nuclear Medicine
and/or PET/CT with a variety of technical procedures applying
ionizing radiation for the purpose of detecting pathology. Performs
procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision
of technical detail. Produces computerized tomographic scanner
radiographs of specific areas as required by the departmental
procedures. Processes data and enhancing digital images using
advanced computer technology. Performs Nuclear Medicine and/or
PET/CT procedures at a technical level not requiring constant
supervision of technical detail. Performs those duties directly
involved with a variety of technical procedures applying ionizing
radiation for the purpose of detecting pathology. Regulates the
equipment used to expose the x-ray film, develops and documents
PACS imaging. Operates equipment safely and maintains SimonMed
standards while performing all types of procedures. Evaluates
images to determine the technical quality and calibration of
instrumentation. Provides diagnostic aid to physicians by
conducting organ or body scans on patients. Administers
radiopharmaceuticals and medications for patient imaging and
therapeutic procedures Administers and records isotope dosage in
accordance to established departmental protocol. Observes patient
during procedure and reports any abnormal activity. Familiar with
standard concepts, practices and procedures. Relies on experience
and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Demonstrates competency
in the performance of job related skills appropriate to his/her
customer populations and departmental services while providing
excellent customer service. Utilizes and operates equipment and
mechanical devices which provide for a functional, effective, and
safe environment. Adheres to policies, procedures, guidelines

QUALIFICATIONS: Education: High School Diploma Requires completion
of a formal Radiologic Technology training program in AMA approved
school. Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Preferred)
License/Certification: BLS Certification or “Hands–On” CPR
certification Requires registration as a Certified Technologist
Nuclear Medicine by the State Requires registration as a Certified
Radiologic Technologist by the State Requires NMTCB and/or
A.R.R.T.(N) certification Requires registration as an RT and CT
Technologist by the A.R.R.T. SimonMed Imaging requires valid CPR
certification Experience: 2 years of experience in radiology
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: This position may require duties including
lifting and carrying up to 40 pounds, sitting for prolonged periods
of time, with frequent standing and walking. May be exposed to
biohazards and chemicals as outlined in the MSDS Manual; and other
hazards/unpleasant working conditions. DRESS ATTIRE: Business
