Our mission is to inspire and elevate everyday living through our passion for design and our community.DESCRIPTION: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to support the day-to-day operations of the Accounting department. This position plays a critical role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining internal controls, and supporting budgeting and compliance activities. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in accounting principles, is proactive, and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.ACCOUNTING MANAGER RESPONSIBILITIES:Financial Reporting & Month-End ClosePrepare and review journal entries, general ledger reconciliations, and supporting schedulesAssist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statementsEnsure the accuracy and timeliness of financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statementsTeam Management:Supervise, train, and mentor the accounting team.Assign and review tasks, ensuring that deadlines and performance standards are met.Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback and support for team development.Budgeting, Forecasting & AnalysisSupport the annual budgeting and forecasting processesMonitor departmental spending and assist with budget trackingCompliance & Internal ControlsMaintain and improve internal accounting controls and documentationAssist with internal audits and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirementsStay current with GAAP and relevant changes in accounting rulesCash Flow & Operational SupportAssist in monitoring cash flow and working capitalSupport accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring accuracy and timelinessReconcile bank and credit card statements regularlySystems & Process ImprovementIdentify opportunities for process improvements and automation in day-to-day accounting operationsParticipate in implementation or optimization of accounting software and tools.Cross-Departmental CollaborationCollaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial objectives and provide accounting insight for operational initiativesProvide documentation and schedules to external partners as neededACCOUNTING MANAGER QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field3-5 years of progressive accounting experienceExperience with NetSuite or similar ERP system strongly preferredACCOUNTING MANAGER SKILLS:Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting best practicesAdvanced Excel skills and proficiency with accounting systemsExcellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skillsHigh attention to detail and accuracyAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines independentlyStrong written and verbal communication skills ACCOUNTING MANAGER BENEFITS:PPO & HMO Medical Options Vision & Dental Options401K with company match (After 1 year of employment)PTO, Sick Time, Wellness Time, Floating Holidays and Paid Volunteer TimeBereavement, Jury Duty, and Voting Time (as needed)Paid Holidays Off Paid Maternity/Paternity Leave40% off at Shoppe Amber Interiors (online & retail)Voluntary employee benefitsEmployee Assistance Program*Some benefits are contingent upon full time employment.**Exact salary contingent upon experienceCompensation details: 95000-115000 Yearly SalaryPI16da5b964072-25660-37377498
