Job Description Job Description Job Title: Automotive Test Technician Job Description Join a dynamic team in an automotive prototype development environment where you will play a vital role in supporting general automotive technician tasks, including the removal and replacement of vehicle components and troubleshooting complex vehicle issues across various systems. Responsibilities Provide general automotive technician support in a prototype development setting. Remove and replace vehicle components, including prototype components. Troubleshoot and diagnose complex vehicle issues across all systems. Perform component modification and fabrication. Collaborate effectively in a team environment with other technicians and engineers. Fully document vehicle repairs and modifications in a database environment. Order parts and equipment as necessary. Maintain shop equipment and tools to ensure operational readiness. Preserve a safe, clean, and organized shop environment. Travel up to 20% domestically and internationally. Essential Skills Experience working in automotive development or testing. Proficiency with vehicle data acquisition systems, diagnostic tools, and transducers including thermocouples, pressure transducers, and load cells. Familiarity with all vehicle systems such as engine, transmission, HVAC, chassis, and electrical/body. Proficient PC skills, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Excellent skills in CAN tools and data analysis. Ability to multi-task and meet time constraints. Outstanding vehicle diagnostic skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications Automotive technology certification, degree, or equivalent. Strong communication and writing skills. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Irvine, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $27.00/hr.
