Job Description Job Description We are looking for a skilled
healthcare Senior Accountant to join our team in Downey,
California. The Healthcare Senior Accountant position involves
managing and analyzing complex financial transactions, preparing
detailed reports, and ensuring the accuracy of financial systems
and records. The ideal candidate will play a key role in supporting
the organization’s financial operations, including audits,
reconciliations, and budgeting. Healthcare experience is a big
plus. Responsibilities: • Process daily financial transactions such
as posting receipts, preparing deposits, and reviewing payable
invoices. • Oversee month-end close procedures, including recording
operational activity and preparing detailed schedules for financial
reporting. • Reconcile bank accounts, record rental income, and
manage cash receipt reconciliations on a monthly basis. • Maintain
fixed assets, calculate depreciation, and ensure accurate
amortization of prepaid items. • Collaborate with the Controller to
design and implement effective accounting and finance policies. •
Prepare monthly financial statements for investors and lenders,
ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards. • Conduct
detailed variance analyses comparing budgeted and actual income and
expenses, providing explanations for discrepancies. • Assist in
annual audits by preparing necessary documentation and working with
external auditors. • Develop forecasts for income, expenses, and
cash flow, and contribute to quarterly financial consolidation
efforts. • Support the preparation of annual budgets and ad hoc
financial projects as needed. • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or
a related field. • A minimum of 10 years of accounting experience
with a strong attention to detail. • Strong knowledge of federal
and state payroll and tax laws, along with fundamental accounting
principles. • Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft
Office tools, including Excel for data analysis and reporting. •
Excellent numerical and ten-key skills with a focus on accuracy and
efficiency. • Ability to adapt to changing environments and manage
multiple priorities effectively. • Strong communication skills,
both written and verbal, to collaborate with team members and
stakeholders. • Capacity to work independently and make sound
business decisions while maintaining compliance with accounting
standards.
