Job Description:

Promnent key player within the investment/food sector is actively interviewing for a professional that can contribute a solid set of skills and can partner very closely with the Controller and take accountability for operational accounting duties including journal entries and GL work, account reconciliation, month end close as well as ad-hoc analysis.manage A/P, A/R and Payroll team

Ensure staff work product is timely, accurate, and relevant by reviewing staff work, establishing monitoring tools, and provide training as needed.

Work with staff to optimize workflow, improve processes for efficiency and accuracy, and develop staff.Month End Closing; Obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of the financial and reporting general ledger structure

Ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year-end financial reportingAbility to identify, analyze and document non-routine transactions

Prepares, maintains and reports all aspects of Fixed Assets

Review and prepare monthly balance sheet account reconciliations

Support CFO in streamlining, improving and implementing procedures in various accounting and operational areas, e.g. AR, AP, Invoicing, Fixed Assets, Inventory Shrink Controls, Cash Management; There will be communication with CFO weekly workflow, issues, assigned projects, ad hoc requests, and staff progress. In addition, you will make an impact and difference by having involvement with operations team issues with receiving / invoice paperwork and other relevant matters. Secondary Duties & Responsibilities (alongside CFO ? not requisite skill set):

Financial Modeling: Accounting Manager / Controller will help construct financial models for potential new locations, cash flow projections, etc.

Annual Budgeting Process: Accounting Manager / Controller will help prepare detailed store level and corporate annual budgets ? based on current spend, inflation, estimated cost reductions, etc.

Cash Management / Banking Relationships: Accounting Manager / Controller will manage cash on weekly basis and be the primary point of contact for day to day banking communications.

Leases & other Contracts: Accounting Manager /Assistant Controller will have extensive involvement in interpreting leases and other financial contracts.Ideal candidate should be able to handle matters with discretion and partner very closely with Controller to help grow the Organization and make a conitnued impact.
