Project IMPACT is partnering with Clarity HR Solutions to find qualified Billing Specialist to join their team. About Project IMPACT Project IMPACT's mission is to provide children, youth, and their families with the tools to help them survive and thrive in a hostile environment through five core services: Counseling, Wellness, Tutoring, Mentoring, Parent Education, and Job Readiness and Placement. Based in Lynwood, California, Project IMPACT serves the Compton and Wateridge areas. About the Job The Billing Specialist is responsible for data entry of all mental health services (collection, posting, analyzing) data to ensure accuracy of payment of services. Submit such data through billing system and follow-up with staff pertaining to error codes, documentation, create related reports, etc. Responsible for data entry of billing related information and/claims (collection, posting, analyzing) to ensure accuracy of payment of services per Project IMPACT guidelines. Research and analyze rejected information and re-submit accordingly. Create weekly/monthly reports of productivity of services per management requirements. Identify and resolve billing related issues, work with staff and report to management in a timely manner. Maintain confidentiality of client, employee and management related matters. Ensure billing records are accurate and complete according to compliance standards. General office duties which include: answering incoming calls, data entry, filing, faxing, photocopying, etc. Comply with productivity standards of Project IMPACT. Perform other duties as deemed necessary to fulfill agency and/or program requirements. Job Requirements Certificate in medical billing/codes desirable. At least 2 years of experience in medical billing preferably in mental health or a social services agency setting. Proficiency in MS Word/Excel and a computer (data entry) database. Previous experience in mental health or a social service agency setting desirable. Employment Type: Full Time Years Experience: 1 - 3 years Salary: $18 - $19 Hourly Bonus/Commission: No
